Counselling is a talking therapy. It allows you to talk about any problems and feelings in a confidential and dependable environment and can help you deal with any negative thoughts or feeling you may have. It can be useful when coping with many different areas e.g. depression, anxiety, long term illness, stress, bereavement, relationship breakdown, redundancy, exploring issues such as sexuality, goal setting, motivation, helping you understand yourself and others better.

I provide a safe space for you to talk and explore your thoughts and feelings. I am trained in a person-centred way which means I view you as your own best authority with the capacity to deal with your issues given the right conditions. I will not be giving advice but will help you to find your own insight, understanding and confidence. I aim to create a working relationship built on trust and respect. I will listen to your thoughts and feelings with non-judgemental, positive regard. It can be a great relief to share your worries and fears with someone who acknowledges your feelings and is able to help you reach a positive solution.
